About the position:

    number of candidates in the week starting 3 August 2009 which is
8 b# [: z4 E5 [" v    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney
3 R; R5 ?- F  ^9 q) |% p1 y    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand ; Q" q5 L& [# }. R3 C
    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters / v+ `& I* L9 U2 N. i9 k1 N
    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent ' X! x# R+ j; w5 y& c9 O
    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a " L5 A+ ~( t0 m  ~& k6 a+ d
    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the * H% w, p& w- J
    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement
