    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney   p2 }$ K6 N7 Y' B; w6 A. A' Z
    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand # H2 T9 ]0 I. y) E3 t
    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters 4 F& x9 f' t; a( C
    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent
7 ~; Z, N9 n! s( q    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a 8 k0 P' d5 Z" Q1 t
    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the
: J, n1 w  {' m0 Z+ [    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement
