" E8 q) m* m( k6 q- ?    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney
% x3 Z0 D( [" S+ D5 f4 B    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand - r1 w- K/ T' S* y
    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters $ K% A, k. v: g3 w  ]2 v5 Z5 e; e
    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent 8 E0 J7 |! G, y# r: F" k
    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a 1 Z/ t1 B5 ^# R, q/ S+ L
    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the * N% V/ F7 r) U; u5 C
    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement " I* M6 G# }& I" `5 j& W
    students with an audience of patent attorneys.
