    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney : Q4 K  @8 Z: m  B. m
    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand 1 }$ s+ u1 ?; F0 K  \! a
    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters & v; I; l5 [; E
    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent
* H1 u+ b3 U3 ^, `! d    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a " q( w$ y4 y$ x8 A5 ?& g- A
    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the * z& k. d7 B# A, v' Z0 v
    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement + u( W7 ]7 y& s+ c; d8 i
    students with an audience of patent attorneys.
