    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney 3 q! Z" e# y, D  W
    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand . e6 y) N5 J. _$ y, Q0 u
    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters " P& d3 w8 P- k& r: `: u  N
    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent
6 x5 K- D/ w: h9 h    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a
- j' v4 Q( F/ J* p: c: S3 G    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the $ N* y7 T, z0 x% @
    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement : E1 D1 z+ s) X' }$ @. P! o0 U$ n4 L
    students with an audience of patent attorneys.
