    number of candidates in the week starting 3 August 2009 which is
1 f$ O/ A  `2 s3 L    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney ! u, i8 J2 h2 U* s+ E8 S
    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand
( H7 G8 P% n# n* P# |0 }    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters * p1 M8 p1 c! [; r
    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent
0 {8 `2 z9 ?& M/ b: @8 W0 j. y7 W4 V% D    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a
+ |( Y" E% I1 p" e& C. K6 v# V: P. `    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the , u* n! ^, ?0 r# v9 E
    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement
