    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand 8 v* B, ~- k6 J6 _! ~. e4 I
    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters
& p0 Q) ?- j4 u. V# r    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent 6 X5 z) v' `9 ]! {
    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a 3 g6 Z. f0 S" R
    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the # P# m! G; K8 B" r! G* M1 J( s
    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement 0 C9 j4 o7 j* q8 N7 n) m" C& a3 O
    students with an audience of patent attorneys. . Z; `& U) X& J9 W2 K0 R( n
