    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney
# g/ `5 c# e+ p2 q6 I    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand
" I: `: f; M( o. L1 ]: }. X" \: u    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters
- m" n3 v& j8 v    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent
! j/ O$ }% F& w) C0 x& e5 w7 u    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a
, x' `+ c4 d) V& ^8 s1 P    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the ) _; A0 {. l& l* B0 W  u
    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement
