In order to maximize the use of the Chinese books, Huaxia Chinese School plans to provide a mobile library service for pupils. To ensure the smooth running of the library, the School intends to recruit a library administrator. The job will start in September 2007. The wage will be round 20 pounds per week. 6 W' ^! y# P$ v2 }# }3 S

Keeping the school library open for most Sundays during term time from 11am to 1pm;3 f# u) A" O# r; ^; t

8 @6 |7 M( Q* p; T1 y0 W" {! {Helping on setting up an effective library procedure for borrowing and returning books;
7 t3 ?0 |! j8 R0 \( W2 Mo8 q* [! _+ i" Z  C$ T& R
Liaise with the Head teacher to ensure stock maintenance for weekly need, including carrying small number of books between the school and storing place every week;8 g( w7 Z& g0 J3 A/ F6 r! w: Q3 t8 k
o& u) u/ }* O: J" V  Q
Dealing with customer enquiries such as book reservation, renewal and other general queries relating to the library stock via email and/or on Sundays at School desk, and retrieve the requested item accordingly

Undertaking limited cash handling (e.g. fines)1 m& i+ ~8 t, ?8 B& p
o8 q/ L  w% F2 b
Maintaining borrowing record and updating available book list accordingly

o- b% f! Z6 v* s( m
be reliable, responsible and friendly, having attention to details
; N6 \% l* }" @2 G3 o; c+ ko6 S2 [* _  P2 k
have ability to work under pressure and with limited or no immediate supervision; 6 i7 c* s  q+ |

% H! G' L7 b; B" Bhave own transport$ [5 Q% T" s- u( x! e( y

be familiar with common office software such as MS Office  P' {1 j$ L8 t

Previous experience of working in a customer service environment would be an advantage.3 |/ c2 Y7 }6 e! F% y
