Swine flu: latest advice and information
As you may be aware from media reports, the number of cases of swine flu in the Greater Manchester area and across the UK is increasing. w* R2 t7 ?( B$ s" D2 z
1 Z A8 k4 q9 U vAs a result, the Health Protection Agency is now advising a move from the previous strategy of containment to one of presuming a diagnosis and providing anti-viral treatment depending on the symptoms.4 D( m6 Y: `9 x h( w5 U; L
/ \: m/ ^2 |+ n8 ?In line with this National Guidance, we are advising all colleagues - including those of you who suspect you may have come into contact with somebody with presumed swine flu - to continue as normal and come into work unless you develop symptoms, in which case you should remain at home and contact your General Practitioner.6 j& J7 b" ?0 D' y9 c, Z5 t0 Y1 n

If receiving anti-viral treatment, you will no longer be infectious if you have been on medication for five days and your symptoms have resolved.
