We know that some students have been refused their Tier 1 – Post Study
( f( R( q7 N! f5 \Work visas because the Home office has not accepted the confirmation

student's award. We wrote to the Home Office about this issue and they
0 [% L4 x* J) Y% n. C" d( `have now confirmed that our confirmation of award letter (the version
+ c2 `3 [1 W) r# W0 K/ i$ ~issued in or after November) is sufficient proof that a student has
( t8 B( _. J9 N# l/ x- \been awarded their degree. They have also agreed to reconsider
7 b6 ?" s2 Q7 D1 R) R# G% xstudents' applications which were refused on this basis.5 ?. k4 e+ A: `* m2 f$ q& v, _; R) [
, q% c& a, q& g- zIf you have had your Tier 1 – Post Study Work application solely

confirmation of award letter issued by us then you need to come to the

# Y% B% S. ^. P( m3 t* \Advice Team. You also need to bring in your refusal notice and the( Y1 D" o8 f( m) h+ _9 }/ B! [
confirmation of award letter that you submitted as part of your
% a# I4 z( N4 ?; ?4 M2 voriginal application. In order to do this you must ring us on 0161 275
