    designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney ! j4 O, z/ r9 h; o
    really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand
3 b* ?* c* G. T8 T) M9 @    experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters ' Q0 r6 ?# N9 b! y  w
    within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent
/ [" Z9 p4 R8 A& k9 P8 ]) L$ @    drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a 9 B3 ~; ^7 w; ?1 S% D
    contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the 0 P& a) Q2 A. Y" _; T/ E
    placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement 0 e5 e8 l+ B$ v9 O; q2 Q
    students with an audience of patent attorneys.
