In order to maximize the use of the Chinese books, Huaxia Chinese School plans to provide a mobile library service for pupils. To ensure the smooth running of the library, the School intends to recruit a library administrator. The job will start in September 2007. The wage will be round 20 pounds per week. & s" k' H" j, \. Job responsibilities:/ l# S6 c- |# C$ z1 ?: \# Z( G

Keeping the school library open for most Sundays during term time from 11am to 1pm;  n# m' {. m2 z* |$ L% I
o& M3 g! E0 ~" r6 G" O
Helping on setting up an effective library procedure for borrowing and returning books;

( b( q2 n+ F0 x$ p, t. NLiaise with the Head teacher to ensure stock maintenance for weekly need, including carrying small number of books between the school and storing place every week;

0 T0 M! _- R9 \7 S" @% qDealing with customer enquiries such as book reservation, renewal and other general queries relating to the library stock via email and/or on Sundays at School desk, and retrieve the requested item accordingly

Undertaking limited cash handling (e.g. fines)

Maintaining borrowing record and updating available book list accordingly

0 O! z+ A- T) Z/ r6 j3 B" S9 w1 \be reliable, responsible and friendly, having attention to details
! C( W/ G8 w1 I1 r7 \# C# W! Go1 x9 r# K5 y4 s+ @+ U$ y
have ability to work under pressure and with limited or no immediate supervision;

have own transport

be familiar with common office software such as MS Office

. R6 }6 I) @" E8 e6 [( C9 vhave Internet access and is willing to be trained for updating online book list

be able to communicate in both English and Chinese) X" e3 O; Q5 y, N
Previous experience of working in a customer service environment would be an advantage.
