In order to maximize the use of the Chinese books, Huaxia Chinese School plans to provide a mobile library service for pupils. To ensure the smooth running of the library, the School intends to recruit a library administrator. The job will start in September 2007. The wage will be round 20 pounds per week.

  t) O: n4 I$ H. a6 AHelping on setting up an effective library procedure for borrowing and returning books;7 L; x1 r; O! W4 H4 ~

: n& s; V) L9 A; s0 P+ }; F" \Liaise with the Head teacher to ensure stock maintenance for weekly need, including carrying small number of books between the school and storing place every week;

Dealing with customer enquiries such as book reservation, renewal and other general queries relating to the library stock via email and/or on Sundays at School desk, and retrieve the requested item accordingly) G% X* V  c  {" W2 `( x5 B9 m

Undertaking limited cash handling (e.g. fines)7 R2 m) Y: b7 k4 x

Maintaining borrowing record and updating available book list accordingly
* w9 Z& |/ u5 h9 j( d& mThe ideal candidate should1 f( s  z4 q9 O

3 e# x! E/ M9 ?5 P" `5 Qhave ability to work under pressure and with limited or no immediate supervision;

be familiar with common office software such as MS Office8 S, q( ]' O+ x  G

have Internet access and is willing to be trained for updating online book list

& v4 j3 P/ J' I* TPrevious experience of working in a customer service environment would be an advantage.
