In order to maximize the use of the Chinese books, Huaxia Chinese School plans to provide a mobile library service for pupils. To ensure the smooth running of the library, the School intends to recruit a library administrator. The job will start in September 2007. The wage will be round 20 pounds per week. 5 ]* W5 R: i) N; S

2 y& I; q( K* p# WKeeping the school library open for most Sundays during term time from 11am to 1pm;/ |) ?: B$ G3 g( l  R

) o5 |% G8 J1 \  p- K* `; hHelping on setting up an effective library procedure for borrowing and returning books;4 ~: I% r% z+ O5 S
o: {7 G$ I" ~3 V8 V7 l+ R0 E
Liaise with the Head teacher to ensure stock maintenance for weekly need, including carrying small number of books between the school and storing place every week;

Dealing with customer enquiries such as book reservation, renewal and other general queries relating to the library stock via email and/or on Sundays at School desk, and retrieve the requested item accordingly/ }9 Y; }9 \- K/ x# l, W

Undertaking limited cash handling (e.g. fines)

The ideal candidate should

# A$ T$ l8 w+ T' D# G* h! ?0 o4 gbe reliable, responsible and friendly, having attention to details% o5 B6 R* t8 i6 Y* C+ r" P1 R7 Z

have ability to work under pressure and with limited or no immediate supervision; 1 {8 v/ f  \3 W3 B* T$ t5 J
o0 z1 y" S" A; P4 M# w' j+ n2 f' w
have own transport
* q7 S+ R1 `5 L; bo  d5 D) W4 D. p/ _, D
be familiar with common office software such as MS Office

3 p4 S, m% P& Z. ghave Internet access and is willing to be trained for updating online book list0 S! |3 B! e4 _! e

be able to communicate in both English and Chinese
