9 Y  j8 N  V) u) c2 A( HIn order to maximize the use of the Chinese books, Huaxia Chinese School plans to provide a mobile library service for pupils. To ensure the smooth running of the library, the School intends to recruit a library administrator. The job will start in September 2007. The wage will be round 20 pounds per week.

! ^2 |! J: o3 u- x; XKeeping the school library open for most Sundays during term time from 11am to 1pm;. E2 C8 l9 }: [1 E

Helping on setting up an effective library procedure for borrowing and returning books;3 ]8 C( b+ s( V2 ^. e

. P& `* H% e4 n0 _Liaise with the Head teacher to ensure stock maintenance for weekly need, including carrying small number of books between the school and storing place every week;

Dealing with customer enquiries such as book reservation, renewal and other general queries relating to the library stock via email and/or on Sundays at School desk, and retrieve the requested item accordingly+ A1 G& Z+ O* d4 G; i, Y

Undertaking limited cash handling (e.g. fines)& V# f& t9 \1 W+ J9 ?- L) h* Z
o
/ O2 u9 M6 u& UMaintaining borrowing record and updating available book list accordingly

: f! V3 m. |& L9 W9 ~be reliable, responsible and friendly, having attention to details

have ability to work under pressure and with limited or no immediate supervision;

be familiar with common office software such as MS Office. n3 I& n' U: f8 i4 ]  R

have Internet access and is willing to be trained for updating online book list

be able to communicate in both English and Chinese/ {* C" h# t4 D2 Z2 I
Previous experience of working in a customer service environment would be an advantage.
