In order to maximize the use of the Chinese books, Huaxia Chinese School plans to provide a mobile library service for pupils. To ensure the smooth running of the library, the School intends to recruit a library administrator. The job will start in September 2007. The wage will be round 20 pounds per week. ' u, I% @) _2 ]( l

Job responsibilities:

) N/ E+ q* ?: I) R) v! WKeeping the school library open for most Sundays during term time from 11am to 1pm;& l" C5 G( { c5 K8 @0 m4 v

6 J" ]( m' A* g# S1 T$ Y& I6 A/ W: uHelping on setting up an effective library procedure for borrowing and returning books;

Liaise with the Head teacher to ensure stock maintenance for weekly need, including carrying small number of books between the school and storing place every week;: P1 E& o' l, ^7 Q1 d

; c1 u1 q) e {, S, c3 S( U) nDealing with customer enquiries such as book reservation, renewal and other general queries relating to the library stock via email and/or on Sundays at School desk, and retrieve the requested item accordingly, Q3 Y! H2 ^* W# D' B" y

Undertaking limited cash handling (e.g. fines)

be reliable, responsible and friendly, having attention to details
% D$ j5 b4 K& l+ [4 V9 [! J& @o
# F* d* ~" P; mhave ability to work under pressure and with limited or no immediate supervision;

have own transport

be familiar with common office software such as MS Office

have Internet access and is willing to be trained for updating online book list

* }- w3 ^# u7 v2 Q" @! fbe able to communicate in both English and Chinese( b% S& k, a" x7 c
Previous experience of working in a customer service environment would be an advantage.
