In order to maximize the use of the Chinese books, Huaxia Chinese School plans to provide a mobile library service for pupils. To ensure the smooth running of the library, the School intends to recruit a library administrator. The job will start in September 2007. The wage will be round 20 pounds per week. 8 o! c3 H8 H) I7 N3 p/ _

: K8 ]5 e( `, }# F1 d8 x, U9 hKeeping the school library open for most Sundays during term time from 11am to 1pm;

5 h) E! S1 v- E! W2 VHelping on setting up an effective library procedure for borrowing and returning books;
7 o6 W4 o# B2 R/ E% U$ Jo
) o' e- |7 ^9 a+ l% {  u  Y: o6 a' yLiaise with the Head teacher to ensure stock maintenance for weekly need, including carrying small number of books between the school and storing place every week;

Dealing with customer enquiries such as book reservation, renewal and other general queries relating to the library stock via email and/or on Sundays at School desk, and retrieve the requested item accordingly

Undertaking limited cash handling (e.g. fines)

The ideal candidate should) s  }) m# [% g4 ]# J

. x- P3 \; W8 u$ \7 H8 D: sbe reliable, responsible and friendly, having attention to details

have ability to work under pressure and with limited or no immediate supervision; 4 t5 M# ^2 d4 Y

have own transport

be familiar with common office software such as MS Office& N+ {' C6 R' S6 O! ^

have Internet access and is willing to be trained for updating online book list! x( m; c1 S" x; l  ?  S: c) \

be able to communicate in both English and Chinese" Q' e) ?3 X5 m* m) K. j6 p
Previous experience of working in a customer service environment would be an advantage.+ }/ J7 |" t$ M8 k' |
