拿到MBS的ORS和Bursary，加上老板给的一点，一年的生活费4000P，没有其他任何经济来源，在曼城可以生活么？

   我同学有个月经济困难, 一个月里全部自己做饭吃,月底一看,只花了520胖子   (房租300,伙食220(2个人吃饭))1 o1 y9 E- [9 V* B3 D& j% {& f
5 s, y8 k# b' E# G
  似乎4000过得要紧张点哦!  不知道4000里面包括不包括那些什么奖学金之类的呀?

  朋友,不是我有意打击你,我为你好好算了一下,就算你每个月都自己做饭,没有任何多余花消的情况下, 2天6顿,15磅的伙食费总要的吧,一个月下来就是225磅,还有115磅,  MANCHESTER我确实没见过那里有115磅的房子可以租.  所以,4000磅/年是会比较郁闷的!     (当然,你可以找PART TIME JOB来弥补点,不过靠这个也不实际,首先第一年来UK对环境不是很熟悉,工作难找, 最主要的是你学习紧张.)  如果利用许多课余时间去工作,同时确保学习的话,可能也可以吧 UK这里假期很长的,就是苦了你了.

/ l' Q+ V, A2 cif you take 4000 pounds, you must live outside, find a far place from university, a cheap room, it is not easy. You may find that. But if it is 50 founds per week include all bills(means 40 pounds per week doesn't include any bills), you still have to pay 2600 per year for accomdation, so, just think about that, 2600(live)+1200 (eat), =3800,  do you travel? do you do any other things?do you buy any other stuffs?  do you go back to China during 3 years?  " z! r0 P' B0 U" R! l. O
! e$ L% q, x0 R" k$ Q8 G2 h8 X$ R
It is really really hard to survive, yes, you can, but just focus on finding a cheaper place to live(if you can find 40 pounds per week include bills which means 30 pounds per week no bills added, that will be ok(2080 per year), but it seems IMPOSSIBLE for you to find that kind of room in manchester now. Even that, you still find life needs more money.  If you want live with 4000 pounds, you MUST find rooms which are 40 pounds or 45 pounds per week include all bills( the later one is difficult but not impossible).

6 n! v  P+ w0 T8 U1 m) IIf you want a little comfortable life, you must do part-time jobs. Just let you know that PhD don't have more than one month holiday for you.  Your superviser will force you to work as well. Exclude the one months holiday which you may apply from your superviser. We do have easter holiday which means three weeks, Xmas holidays which means 3 weeks as well. But , no summer vocation for Phd students.
' ~/ `8 Q7 O( f( `$ q9 g" ~4 X! r; X3 R
0 ~6 P* _- o; M6 {( C0 T  ^$ N; W% XIf you have 5000 pounds per year. Which means your university room costs about 3000 pounds per year. eat costs 1200 pounds per year, rest of your money you can send on travel, on buying stuffs, any other use. That will be ok for you to live. ; I* I) [: t; _/ ]) C% u3 S

5 \" b- }& x; O' P7 aIt means, you have to work outside the Teaching Assistant to earn extra 1000 pounds per year, means 187 hours work in one year, means, 16 hours work per month. You can do that.
& o* N- z% q$ M" Q/ Q' |% Q2 P7 e9 O/ n6 V4 o" q
Conclusion and future work:
- E( q! X3 i; x( yYou have to work part-time to rise yourself to earn extra 1000 pounds if you can not find less than 45 pounds per week include all bills.

In the future, you need focus on  ticking out the cheapest room in manchester. Or just go here first, and find your part-time job later. ) j7 S# ~  i3 y: M& z" Q5 P

应该活得下去，不过会很苦，咱俩差不多，我也很穷的，我来的时间也不长，不过我听我同学（女生）说她吃饭花不了多少钱。我住别人家，没做过饭，所以不敢肯定。

多谢各位了。现在有申请到一些钱，第一年生活费有7000了。这个应该差不多够了吧。只是第二年，第三年。。。还得再申请，还不知道到时候能不能申请得到。。。。。。。

没有问题。提供奖学金证明，和导师的信。7000磅没问题的。你的FUNDING是分几个部分的？（似乎你的FUNDING源比较多哦）

如果你第二，第三年没有老板给的信的话。还是最好借点钱放银行里存着比较好。当生活费签。也就是说，最好能拿一点银行的存单过去。不要多，我以前有朋友是5000磅生活费，为了签证保险，还拿了家里存款。实际上，来曼城，5000磅生活费一年签证就已经没问题了。4000磅也应该问题不大。。。

如果你有钱在银行的话，最好放过去。不过没有也没多大关系的。

The visa, needs your funding letter which can cover your three years' living expense.

Or, if it is not enough for 3 years, you can mention that in your application and they will give you one year visa (mphil) and could be renewed in the UK.

学校一般建议是大概６５００左右　但一般５０００也是够了的，４０００是比较拮据的，除非找到２００镑的包所有ＢＩＬＬ的房子，否则水电，电话，吃住，你剩下的１３０很难养活自己，除非．．．．．
