number of candidates in the week starting 3 August 2009 which is # {5 H' m: W# y7 q7 ~5 V2 L" H% ~ designed to show postholders what the job of a Patent Attorney m5 f! |5 t! } a% z8 X
really entails. Successful candidates will receive first hand 1 w; O3 e$ k# `; L experience dealing with the UK Patent Office on high tech matters 6 j: m) L9 ]8 @0 u
within their own field and will be shown the basics of patent ( h! B) L6 [4 N: X drafting. Finally, successful candidates will handle a V4 B W) I n" Z; s- g contentious matter using skills learnt over the course of the / f+ r+ Z! U) l. F. n8 P5 i placement to defend or challenge a patent against other placement : l2 a, w1 }$ S/ L4 r
