Manchester Business School (MBS) is ranked as the world's leading university for accounting research, in a survey published by Accounting and Finance.9 Z( T; v6 Y5 f% `' h2 w7 P

The survey, which rates the quality of accounting research published in top journals from across the world, places MBS above The University of New South Wales and The University of Pennsylvania. 6 q) E4 ~( f; j c4 e5 s9 O: O% f q2 s' r1 `' ?, A
The survey affirms the School's reputation for research excellence in this area. It assessed the number of articles that appeared in 24 of the world’s top accounting journals from 1991 to 2005.% E7 j( o! k' m5 ~$ Y2 j+ D
